During Advent, the Rathausplatz is filled with a Christmas atmosphere with 150 stalls. The markets sell all kinds of decorations, traditional ornaments, arts and crafts, sweets, snacks, and a variety of warming drinks. The trees in the plaza and City Hall Park glow with lights and surround a romantic skating rink where visitors can rent skates and go skating. The majestic Christmas tree and beautiful light installations in the park are an integral part of the event. The Christmas Village on Maria Theresa Square features as many as 70 stalls.
