Why we should fund more scientific research

There is no doubt that money makes the world go round. This is true in areas that we do not speak of, especially in research and development. In fact, it is the latter that is heavily dependent on money. It is therefore no wonder that people talk about how underfunded R&D is worldwide and what could be accomplished if more money were invested in it.

Indeed, it seems odd. After all, new technologies are constantly being introduced to the market. However, few people realize that there are pitfalls in these. Take, for example, the electric car, which is being promoted throughout the EU. While they are available for purchase, there is no denying that there are still many problems. However, this research has been much slower than desired.

rychlý vývoj technologií je jen zdánlivý

The Covidos epidemic shows how important funding is. After vaccine research began to be promoted worldwide for obvious reasons, we suddenly had a fully functional and tested vaccine within months. And many say that this would have been possible had such investments been made for other diseases such as Ebola and malaria. After all, these occur virtually exclusively in the poorer parts of Africa.

výzkum Marsu postupuje pomalu

It is not difficult to imagine how much progress could be made if more money were invested in space exploration, for example. Under such circumstances, it would already be possible to send a manned crew to Mars. Unfortunately, nothing of the sort has happened in this regard, although the situation is slowly improving. However, it is only progressing very slowly.

The problem is more serious because global climate change is a real threat that we are already beginning to face. And only the development of new technologies can help us. But if we do not fund them, there will be no way to stop them.
